Tamilee Webb's Fit to the Hits: Motown Moves
(Goldhil)
2002
What is it?
A half-hour cardio workout from fitness expert Tamilee Webb. It features covers of classic Motown songs. Who is it for? Beginning exercisers - while Baby Boomers will probably enjoy working out to these tunes the most, almost everybody likes Motown. What to expect: Songs like "Signed, Sealed Delievered" and "Uptight" just beg you to get up and move, so it was a great idea for Tamilee Webb to string these Motown hits together for 30 minutes of low-impact cardio. While the moves are dancey, they're easy to learn if you've ever grooved to your favorite tunes. As always, Webb's cueing is excellent, although she tends to start singing along with the music now and again (keep in mind that the DVD has a music-only function if you find this annoying). This workout is best for beginners; those who have been exercising for a while may find that it's fun, but not challenging enough for them. As a bonus, the CD includes one of the two 15-minute toning workouts from Tamilee Webb's I Want That Body video. Combine it with the Motown workout and you've got a solid, 45-minute beginner's workout that includes both cardio and strength training. To Order Fit to the Hits: Motown Moves on DVD
