What is it?
A half hour strength-training workout that also raises your heart rate. Included is a 30 day nutrition planner to help with weight loss. Who is it for? Advanced beginning to intermediate level exercisers - you don't need to have weight loss as a goal to enjoy benefits from this workout. You will need 2 to 8 pound dumbbells and a step (the step is optional for those just starting out). What to expect: Tamilee Webb has packed a great, full-body workout into a brief, 30-minute session. With the help of a step - all the better to intensify the moves - you work your lower body with a series of squats and lunges. Then you pick up a pair of dumbbells for an upper body routine. You repeat the lower and upper body routines then work abs, stretch and you're done. What makes this workout so effective is that it uses compound moves to hit more than one muscle group at a time, and it also adds elements of balance to strengthen the core and make the moves just a little bit harder. The exercises are done at a quick enough pace to raise the heart rate, but slowly enough to keep momentum to a minimum. The only downside to this workout is that there is no warmup - you go into the lower body routine right from the starting gate. So you may want to warm up on your own for a few minutes before starting. If you're looking to lose a few pounds, you can use the nutrition planner to modify your meals.
