What is it?
A 45-minute exercise video that blends Yoga, Pilates, strength moves and aerobics. Who is it for? Anyone who's strong and healthy, loves yoga and aerobics, and would like to see them combined. What to expect: Minna Lessig, a former Miss Fitness USA and N.P.C. National Fitness Champion, offers a truly creative workout for those who want something that's more active than a typical Yoga session, but isn't quite as taxing as Power Yoga. Lessig blends powerful strength moves, like squats and lunges, with Yoga and Pilates moves for a rhythmic, enjoyable session. It's a full-body workout that hits very major muscle group (while it seems to focus more on the lower body than upper, just try combining Plank and Downward Dog over and over again and then see if you can do a few "Yogi push-ups" on top of that - it's a challenge!). Along the way you'll also gain balance and core strength. Lessig effectively combines her fitness savvy with Yoga technique and great cueing. The graceful moves are easy to learn, even for those who are dance-challenged. Keep in mind that enlightenment isn't the point of this tape - there are no spiritual musings and not even any Sanskrit terms to be had. The focus is on fitness and fun - this tape is so enjoyable that you don't even realize you're working up a sweat.
