Stability Ball Workout with Gin Miller
(Gin Miller Fitness)
2002
What is it?
A 45-minute stability ball workout from Reebok master trainer Gin Miller. Who is it for? All levels of exercisers, although the more advanced versions of the exercises are challenging. In addition to a stability, or balance ball, you will also need a towel. A medicine ball is used in many of the exercises; while not absolutely required, it will definitely enhance the exercises where it is used. What to expect: If you want to really get a core workout, Gin Miller has created a video that will do it. Over the course of three segments (plus a couple of advanced exercises at the end), she works over every inch of your trunk section - front, back and sides. This video was clearly created with functional fitness in mind, as the moves strengthen muscles that are used in everyday life. That doesn't mean, however, that these exercises are easy - for those who are not used to the balance, or stability ball, they will all be quite challenging. And the exercises in each segment get progressively more difficult - even those familiar with stability ball work will find that the moves at the end of the segments take some effort to master. If any stability ball video has the potential to make you sweat, this one is it. Miller finishes it off with a nice, relaxing cool down which contains many moves that you might want to use any time you just want to stretch and relax. It's well known that if you want to stay fit and mobile for a lifetime you need to have strong core muscles. Miller's Stability Ball Workout is an excellent strength builder.
