Roughly half the book discusses subjects such as Yoga theory, method and anatomy before getting around to the postures. Crisp photographs and detailed instructions accompany each pose, and the poses are sequenced to create five different sessions, each highlighting something different - energy, grounding, opening, rejuvenation or balance. There is also a chapter, and practice, on meditation. The book ends with some wise suggestions on choosing a good Yoga teacher. While the book's title is not exactly a misnomer - it does offer several very good 15-minute Yoga sessions - it is not really for the type of person who may be attracted by its title: someone in search of instant exercise and immediate relaxation. This is a deep book with a lot of substance. In other words, it's far better than its title suggests. 15-Minute Yoga offers real Yoga for your 15 minutes, not a superficial foray into pseudo-spiritual stretching. Even if you think you just want a quickie, limbering up routine, give this book a chance - you'll get more than you bargained for, and you'll probably like it. Other books you may like:
